Stu,
That must be a charter flight, the flight number (8806) looks strange, usually have all JL flights to the USA three digit flight numbers (a LAX flight has 062, a HNL flight has 072, etc.).
A codesharing flight is also unlikely, which airline would fly NRT-IND?

Must be for the namby-pamby Indianapolis Colts who got spanked by Atlanta in the America Bowl in Tokyo. Grossly overpaid, overweight 'sports' stars who are too unfit/lazy/greedy to give the paying public a worthwhile season.

According to the JAL Cargo website, it is indeed a cargo flight Haneda to IND. Just put IND in the Airport Code box on lower left and choose Arrival from the drop down box.

I wish I got paid that much for 4 months work.
Somebody's cranky. They lost a preseason game by under a touchdown. And they've been one of top teams for the last five years. Other cities should be so lucky.
American Football is the hardest pro sport on the body there is, with average careers under 3 years. I would not call any of those guys unfit or lazy, at least to their faces.
Try getting paid that much for devoting a lifetime to training, risking severe injury, etc. on the off chance you might become a superstar to earn that kind of money. Most players don't get paid millions, even in the NFL.
Now baseball...

Well, it takes a LOT of stuff to run a football training program in a foreign country, especially because it is preseason and rosters are big. It might have been that the COLTS filled a bunch of containers with cargo (practice and game equipment, video equipment, etc.) and it was enough for JAL cargo to offer this flight, and book other revenue cargo as well.
Was there a similar flight last week to get them there?

There aren't any JAL cargo flights to IND, from anywhere. IND is only served by the FedEx hub.

Yes, there was and I was unable to get a shot of the 744

We are that lucky, in Pittsburgh, and we've been consistently good (with exceptions) for the past 30 or so years

No NASCAR weekends ever have 747's from Japan coming in... so why would this one? The "NASCAR Airforce" is well documented on A.net, look it up, nobody ever gets a 747 from Japan.

It has to be the Colts coming back from the game. There was a JAL 744 here I think on Wednesday or Thursday.

That's Japanese custom: you lose the football game and get shipped back as cargo!

Bet their inflight service would still be better than some other airlines!
Thought about the Colts, but since flight number came up on their cargo website, assumed it was equipment, etc., (although that would be a heck of a lot of equipment) and not the team transport.
http://www.jayski.com/teams/toyota.htm Toyota still up in the air, but could run in 2006: Chevrolet and Ford are seeking approval for new models to race in the 2006 Nextel Cup Series, while Toyota has satisfied all requirements to submit a car to compete in Nextel Cup or the Busch Series next season.
