I already know it is a quack airline that has as much chance of taking delivery of the 787 as DH has in taking delivery of the 330. But according to this:

http://www.primarisairlines.com/page.aspx?ID=2

"We begin flying between New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco in late 2005."

1. From which NYC airport?

2. Have they taken delivery of their ordered 737s yet?

3. What is the specific launch date?

Thanks in advance

Freddie Laker ... May be at peace with his maker ... But he is a persona non grata ... with IATA

Regarding question #1: Quick Google searches and a check of the PANYNJ website shows...yep, you guessed it. Absolutely nothing. I'd think that if they were actually going to start service in 2005, there should be at least a press release about gate space or subletting gate space from another airline.

And I don't see any news about the private equity placement since their press release back in January.

I just don't believe Primaris will ever happen.

I don't have any links, but I've heard "through the grapevine" from former LAS based National FA's that Primaris just furloughed all of their FA's (not that many...I believe they were operating one or two 757's on charters). Whether they were temporarily furloughed until their "planned start-up" date or not, I do not know.

Cheers!  Smile

The whole Primaris ruse is sucha joke.

Who are they kidding? Their "investors"? The public?

The outfit will never fly profitably, at least not on the scale they are advertising.

Tired of airline bankruptcies....EA/PA/TW and finally DL.

This is because Primaris has wet-leased their only 752 (N740PA) to Santa Barbara airlines of Venezuela. Primaris only provides the plane, pilot and First Officer. Santa Barbara uses their own FAs for the flights.

Santa Barbara is forced to wet-lease planes from US carriers to fly to the US because of current FAA Cat II restrictions. Santa Barbara uses the 752 twice daily between CCS and MIA.

Primaris is not scheduled to start accepting the 737-800 until late 2006.
