This link was posted by Chip over on USAviation regarding the new NYSE ticket symbol to be used by the new US Airways - "LCC". Personally I would rather they go back and use the old "U" that they had for years until Bk #1...but oh well.

The link: http://today.reuters.com/stocks/Quot...Q&storyID=248818+08-Aug-2005+RTRS;

Note - The title may have UAIR as Uair thanks to the whole auto caps control thing this board has going.

Funny, Uair was a low cost airline based in Uruguay until very recently ...

The current symbol in BK # 2 is UAIRQ. The Q is used for cos. in BK on the NASDAQ.

Ex.- United is UALAQ
ATA is ATAHQ

Just an FYI.

Obviously the Q gets added when you go into Ch11. The original symbol after emergency from Bk1 was UAIR.

Read the disclaimer...unfortunately the coding for their forum removes caps with words with more than 3 letters.
