Does anybody have a list of the routes IB is serving with widebodies such as Air Atlanta B747 or A340?

Thanx!
Sven

MAD-TFN as I've flown the B-743 and the A-346 in 2003. As far as I know other routes to the Canaries were served by widebodies too sometimes.

Georg.

Planes leased from Air Atlanta are 743 and 744. It operates flights from MAD to TFN, HAV AND MIA.

LPA NO. Only served by 346, 340, 752 and 321. No 747.

All the 340 are property of IB and not of Air Atlanta

Wasn't there an airbridge linking MAD and BCN with a 340?

Do this. Tenerife is beautiful if you wanna stay there. I got my flight TFN-MAD-TFN for less than 100 Euros back in 2003.

Georg.

Erm...not anymore. I have gone twice to TFN during this year and I have payed €100 for each trip as well. However, the fares have increased a lot since then and a trip to TFN is well over €200 now.

Anyway, It's worth every cent. The island of Tenerife is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The cities are nothing special, but the nature there is breathtaking.

The Puente Aero (MAD-BCN) sometimes is flown with the A340-300 or A340-600 when there are very high loads.

TFN is now mostly served by the B747-400, A321, and MD-80s.

LPA this year has been served with the A340-300 and A340-600 along with the regular A320/1s and MD-80s and B757s.

No, according to Iberia's website.

I just did several random searches and it showed "747" on flights IB952 (MAD-TFN), IB959 (TFN-MAD), IB958 (MAD-TFN) and IB951 (TFN-MAD).

Yes, IB has been using the A346 for some TFN flights but in some cases it has been due to "unscheduled equipment changes" since the 743s seem to be having big problems and the 744s have been doing some of the MIA flights.

Btw, I also need to correct myself.

I was wrong, the price for a ticket in economy class to TFN is € 512!!!!! ...at least for the dates I checked.

IBERIA747

I based my comment on two photos that I saw of EC-JFX and EC-IZX at TFN on the same day.

The MIA flight has also been flown by Air Pulmantur.

Yeah...that must have been one of those days then. In fact, you can clearly see that there were 2 different aircraft on the same day while the normal operation is carried out by only 1 aircraft on the 2 MAD-TFN-MAD flights.

Yes, and by Iberia's own A346s, while the TFN flights have also been operated by Iberworld's A330s and even Air Plus' 742.

During some dates in October, IB's website shows "743" as the aircraft to be used on the TFN flights.

BTW, you're not in Spain anymore, are you? you back in your country for good?.

Sadly I am back in the states and hating it!

I miss Espana SO much!! I will come back a lot though (hopefully).

I noticed that TF-ATJ was flying to TFN for a while and TF-ATI was going to MIA.

When I flew back to New York last week EC-JBA was flying to MIA.

That's pretty cool that the TFN flight has been flown by Iberworld A330s and Air Plus Comets B742s.

Anybody wanting to make a pleasure flight MAD - LPA - MAD on 09-OCT-2005 could join the already famous MAD/LPA-Meeting:
MAD/LPA Meet (inc A Flight) Part 4! (by Pilot kaz Jul 11 2005 in Non Aviation)

Unfortunately it´ll be a A343 on both legs for that very date ...
