Hey,

A few weeks ago, it was on the news about a college student starting an airline with a J-31. He was planning on using it on a 30 min or less route.

Does anyone know the name? And even more, the website?

Thanks
Mike

P.S. It's not Nexus Airways

Appreciate that info on the above website is very limited, try the link below which provides more info the company, as it will be operating from Oxford.

Obviously a little out of date, but you get the idea.

Hi,

Plans have changed somewhat. A lively discussion over at pprune has more info:

Start date has been pushed back repeatedly! Make of that what you will!

Looks as though BoeingMEL will be cashing out.

I have a lot of faith in the owner.

Thanks

Martin's a good friend of mine and has been for many years now.

I was there when he told me he was starting this and I've kept faith that he'll keep it that way.
I have my upmost respect for Martin and I truly believe that he'll make this one work.
Bear with it!

If this airline/ticket provider is to start in September then it's time they got selling tickets.

Also, there's potential problems with the name. The 'airline' is called AlphaOne but the website is flyaplha1.com and typing flyalphaone.com does not re-direct to flyaplha1.com. So spelling the name two different ways isn't very clever. Neither is using three different user names on pprune  Smile

either is using three different user names on pprune

A completely unfounded accusation made by someone not all that impartial.
The similar ISPs are explained by 3 different folk using AlphaOne's network to surf the web.
I know Martin and am responsible for their brand.
The thread on Pprune is nothing but a hate fest by a lot of people who spell doom and gloom on every airline that starts up. BoeingMel has made several libelous allegations and will likely be served court papers in the near future.

At anyrate, be careful what you say as everything anyone is arguing about on Pprune is naught but hearsay and rumor. No fact what-so-ever.

The best way to prove everyone wrong is to start selling tickets and generating some cash flow, not issuing court papers. I think this business really could work; but its important to get momentum behind it. Any idea which the start up routes or aircraft are GARPD? Or when ticket sales start; I'd really like to fly OXF-CBG just for fun!
