After the success of "Classic Premium" on Air 2000's long-haul 767 flights since 1999, the airline trialed the service in Europe by operating a 767 on a weekly flight from Gatwick to Heraklion. The trial obviously went well, they have today announced on their website that they will begin to offer the new "Premium Service" from Summer 2001 on flights to 24 destinations from various UK airports, presumably equipping it's 757 fleet with the new cabin.
Air 2000 sets fresh standards in charter flights and for summer 2001 we are delighted to introduce the Air 2000 Premium Service.
Available from a variety of UK airports to 24 Mediterranean destinations, prices start at just £29 per person.
PREMIUM SERVICE will offer;
5 extra inches of legroom in our premium seating area at the front of the aircraft.
Complimentary drinks include Bucks Fizz (with breakfast), one aperitif and a
glass of wine with hot meals.
Inflight entertainment with complimentary headset.
Separate check-in at UK airports
30kg baggage allowance
VIP airport lounge facilities available in the UK for a small additional charge.
Supplements will be low, in the range of £30 to £60 RETURN!!!
Look out for all the other major UK airlines to immediately copy this, as they did with "Classic Premium" last year!
The airline is really going for it now, offering premium cabins on most flights, industry leading service and the launch on July 1st of 41 extra scheduled routes for a total of 51.
More information at; http://www.air2000.com
This website has just been updated so you can now find out what film will be on your flight, and what meal you will be served (Hot meals on all flights - US carriers take note!)
My confidence that this is the best UK charter airline continues... JET SETTER

Just found out, it will be Air 2000's A321s that will be fitted with the new "Premium Service" interiors. The supplements are also less than I stated above, at £50 return to Tenerife, for what you get that is pretty amazing value!
Air 2000 offers more leg room, roomier seats and enhanced in-flight service to 24 destinations next summer with the greatly extended Classic Premium service.
The new 'Premium' service costs from £29-£49 per person return and will be offered from Gatwick, Manchester, Bristol and Stansted. Five Airbus A321 will offer the upgrades with a seat pitch of 33 inches compared to a standard pitch of 28 or 29 inches. Other benefits will include priority check-in, premium meal service, complimentary drinks and extra baggage allowance (30kg instead of 20kg).
Air 2000 has another 3 A321s on order, and I expect they will also enter service in a 2 class configuration.
