Sorry the links are in Korean, but at least the pictures are visible.
The planes (HL7733, HL7734) equipped with the new seats will be put on the ICN-JFK (KE86) route.
The first class is equipped with 2m10cm beds that recline up to 180 degrees, and also a 15" screen with AVOD. I think they have the same or similar seats as GF.
Business Class has the same type of seats as JL and MH, 170 degrees recline.
Economy Class has AVOD with 40+ movies, 20? games and over 1200 music choices to select from.

Wow! The seats are much nicer than the old ones. They need to add some more wood to their first class seats like AF, but all other things aside the seats are nice!

I agree that more wood would be nice.
I just hope that they retrofit the rest of the 747 and 777 fleet fast enough.
BTW, I forgot to add that it is also equipped with Boeing Connexion In-Flight Internet..

That entire First Class cabin looks like a cheap beauty salon - from the white labcoat like uniforms of the cabin crew to the cheezy white plastic seat shells.
All it needs is some large blow dryers and the effect is complete.

You know what they say about books...
A very comfortable seat with great service. You should try it and then judge it!

I have to agree with you the cabins look cheap. On the other hand I do like the new uniforms. I have flown KE several times in P and J and have to say they do offer a great product. I am Skyteam Elite Plus and they are always quick to recognize it. I am part of the now Flying Blue abut was AF Frequence Plus. I was flying ICN-KIX in P and they had loaded a few French Magazines for me ( I dont read french ) but it was the simple thought that made the difference to me.

Here's a link to the Korean Air website in English which has information about the new seats...

I agree. KE has a service that can match any other airline. Their cabin interior however has needed this upgrade for some time and I look forward to see them in real. I think it stands out - like JAL´s product - among all the wood-look-alike which is really not my style. Thumbs up to KE.

Finally!!.. i was planning on using KE for my trip to Asia using skymiles/skyteam, but wanted to avoid them because such a long trip without PTV is not fun. The trip seems lot longer without it. I was surprised that an Asian carrier with 777 didnt have ptv. I guess i'll need to reroute thru nyc to get one of those 777. I do love the new interior. The look is very modern/fresh/hip. Some say it looks cheap, but for me it looks very calming and refreshing.. I prefer that than the luxurios-tacky EK interiors in first with all the wood and gold finishings... just not my taste.

Actually I guess I am not in to change but I like the old KE P seats. They are very comfortable in my mind they may not go full flat but they are plush and comfortable.Just my thoughts but the service makes up for it. The meals are good quality but they need to change them more often.

You are correct Tundra767 - the old seats are very comfortable, but just lacking the modern features of other airline cabins.
I will also agree with you on the meals. When I first started working for KE (5 years ago now), the meals were good. These days, quality has dropped in an effort to cut costs, and variety is very very limited.

The seats finally match the quality of premium service I have enjoyed on KE! The old seat covers were pretty ugly so anything is an improvement. I really like the introduction of the celedon green into the cabin. It is like KL using Delft blue, a very nice connection to the local culture. My only concern is that all that white will start looking dirty quickly.

I am a convert to the superb KE service, having flown SYD ICN LHR with them earlier this year in Business.
The superb cabin service, alongside excellent food (they ask you how you want your steak, and it arrives perfectly!), and punctual services will be an excellent companion to the new uniforms and seats. (The cabin crew Old uniforms are still really stylish IMHO)

Is there any info on when ATL-ICN (their longest route, I believe) will get the new seats?

If you happen to be in Terminal 1 at JFK they've got their new first class seat on display near the Korean Air check-in counters. The display is quite large and has a lot of information about the renovation of their planes. The only drawback is that you can't actually sit in it and try it out -- it's roped off to the public.

Generally KE aircraft interiors are always kept in spotless condition, so I'm sure the cleaning crew will be working hard to keep these new interiors looking new for a long time!
Quoting Lee (Reply 20): I really like the look of it, its fresh and modern. I cant help wonder how dirty the white will look unless it is cleaned on regular basis.

I am a loyal KE passenger and I have been a bit let down by the business class product recently - especially when compared to CX, SQ, etc. As someone mentioned already, there are no PTVs in business class for certain (all?) ICN-LAX flights. (To be fair, the HKG-ICN flights have PTVs and KE is comparable to CX.)
These new layouts are long overdue and look great! Does anyone have a more precise timetable than the vague schedule on the KE website for the roll-outs? I will make a trip to DC next month on KE and I would love to use the new facilities.
About KE food - it isn't bad, but after 40+ segments, I am getting a little tired of bibimbap...Sometimes the best meal is the ramen option printed in small type at the bottom of the menu!
