Hi Guys,
What is your favourite cockpit and why. Mine is the 747-400, lovely ergonomic layout and great center consoles. Although I haven't flown on a B777, the photos of the cockpit look awesome.

Mine is defintely the B-52. Just the sight of 8 thrust levers and blast shades does it for me.

I was rather impressed by the flight deck on the BAe 146-200. I'm used to flying on the Fokker F28 when it comes to regional jets, so 4 quiet engines and a few digital displays were nice to see!

Been in a 777 simulator before. Impressive especially the LCD MFDs. Extremely clear and easy on the eyes.
The SilkAir F70 are not bad either-surprised that they are equiped with modern cockpit-LCD screens and all.

I have been allowed to sit in the cockpit on three separate British Airways 777 flights...2 from Boston to London and one from London to Boston. In all cases out over the Atlantic when the crew have little to do and actually welcome interested visitors. The three aircraft were G-VIIG in November 1997; G-YMMC this past March; and G-VIIU on the return back to Boston on the March 2000 trip.

Have visited following cockpits:
DC 8-63 (Cargo)
747-200 (Side Cargo Door)

and the best one by far was the AN 24 two weeks ago. (Have posted a special Trip report) it was a flying museum

The best has to be the MD11! It is bright, spcious and has those huge windows that seem so low if you are standing up!

Hands down, the Concorde. its kinda tight in there, but you walk past all these circut breakers on your way up and its an impressive reminder of all the technology needed to keep something like that up. I also had a nice chat with a very friendly flight engineer while in the cockpit.

Mine is the 747-400, I actually git to visit the pit enroute to SEA from Heathrow on BA. We were at FL350 over Greenland, it was spectacular. I also really like the layout and placement of screens.

It is spacious, and it has light tan colors which make it seem bigger and really comfortable! I could have lived in that cockpit   I wish i could have just an hour or two sitting in there and soaking in the atmosphere of being in the cockpit of the largest jetliner
The 777 cockpit was also GREAT and for the same reasons!
