BTW, a previous discussion of United's new font prompted me to contact UAL's PR dept from the web site. The response indicated that they're "revamping" the airline's image, starting with everything the passenger makes contact with first, and lastly changing the livery. She estimated the aircraft livery change within 5-6 years. I'm sure it will be sooner now, though; a new UAL livery will probably emerge from the merger.

Nice job i am a ramp rat for UAL and am really exited about the merger(pending GOV approval of course) i love that color with the UA title's i think it looks better,than UAL's current scheme it will be interesting to see if UAL does revamp their color scheme nice post !!!! later.........

Looks great! If these two basket case airlines really do merge, then UA
should adopt the US Airways new livery, launched in 1997, and utilize the
boldface U N I T E D titles it is now using at airports, etc....The current UA
livery, while a major improvement over the older, blue/orange/brown one
is downright ugly for an airline with such an international stature.

Great job! While I do like UA's current livery, I like US's as well. UA's new block lettering looks very nice in white on the dark background in your picture.
