While all indications indicate they have, don't look for an announcement until Farnborough.

I understand there was a meeting of key QF personnel at 10.00 am AEST yesterday (Thursday May 25, 2000) the prime purpose of which was supposed to be the "Strong Communication" (pun intended) to reinforce that Safety is the Number One Priority in the light of the recent negative publicity. The key personnel then have to get back and brief their people.

HOWEVER I also understand that the expected order of 12 777s plus 18 options (as forecast by QFA001 and by THE WA newspaper) was also expected to be announced to the key personnel (and in turn their people and then publicly) in order to generate some positive publicity.

So I'm guessing that the order will be publicly announced Monday or thereabouts after QF people have been briefed by their Managers.

Anyone closer to the Organisation know anything?
