Midwest Airlines is increasing the number of seats available on its flights between Minneapolis and Milwaukee by switching all of its flights to larger Boeing 717s, the airline said Monday.

Starting Oct. 1, all five Midwest daily flights between the Twin Cities and Milwaukee will be offered using 88-seat Boeing 717s. Currently four of the five flights use 717s, while the other uses a 32-seat regional jet, Midwest spokeswoman .

Wow, they're really on a mission to become an established carrier at MSP. First they introduce 717s to MKE, then they advertise their service with their own LRT car, now they introduce ALL mainline flights. Hopefully MSP-MCI is on the way, would be great to have another carrier at MSP offering more Midwest service.

The timing could not be better for this to occur, kinda flying under the radar from the RedTail. If this stike continues, I would think there is a chance you might see some MD's making that run soon.

Actually BWI goes to us completely expcept on Saturdays when there will be a YX 717 added in. Not sure if that will be an overnighter or a turn.
