Welcome to boredom kingdom - it's not because European airlines tend to copy boring and tasteless liveries,American airlines have to jump on the wagon.
I don't like it 'cause it's not eye-catching and dull.
Long live Gulfair !!

To be honest, if you put the old one and the new one in front of me, I would be hard pressed to work out which was which. Nothing very different. Not inspiring, nothing telling me that 2 airlines merged. HP who?
Oh well, at least someone is making money out of it. Well done marketing, selling something you already have.

I personally like it. I was not expecting anything flashy and it was expected that the dark blue fuselage would be gone. It looks fresh and I always liked the US logo flag. We just do not see much of HP in this new livery though. I give it a 7 out of 10

I really expected that it would be better than this!!! At the very least the blue and red on the bottom should extend to the nose. Curving down like that is nothing short of ugly, and adds way too much white to the scheme.
IMO, it looks just as Matt D predicted....like every other airline out there.
Very, very disappointed. The heritage logo is a good thing but damn....they could have done so much better. The US Airways FS paint scheme that someone posted in the other thread that looked so similar to this, was still 100 times better.

Quoting Matt D (Reply 4): You know with all this hype surrounding the upcoming livery, you know it's still going to boil down to a conservative mix of white, blue, and possibly green and orange stripes and tail logo.
Many of us are going to look at it and say "you mean THAT'S IT?"
It will most likely not be anything new or breathtaking. Just a same conformist variant of all the existing liveries already out there.
Of course others will be foaming at the mouth oohing and awwing over it, talking about how "refreshing" and "modern" it is; how it's now "their favorite livery of all time".
Of course these are usually the same people for whom ANYTHING "new", even if it's an all white fuselage with nothing on it, would consider it a "refreshing" and "modern" livery that will be their all time favorite.....solely and entirely....because it's "new".
..and that's only until the next "new livery" comes along.
I really wanted to disagree. And now I can't. Just think it's so close to that excellent livery from the other thread...and yet so far just because of a few differences in design. But those differences really made or broke the scheme and well....they broke it.

Overall I think that I'm a little disappointed. It isn't terrible or really even bad. It's just kind of boring. Maybe they will finally paint a few in special liveries (i.e. Shamu, Wunala Dreaming, Nevada, California).
Does anyone have a close-up of this "heritage circle"? I'm interested to see what it looks like.
