B-HOY is still flying in Asia's World City scheme and there is no plan to remove the scheme anytime soon. Her scheme will be removed during her D-Check which is still far from now.

Stripping off her paints to check her fuselage for cracks etc is a common procedure in D-Checks. Nothing unusual about that

Think I saw it today...

Have you heard CX and Disney are teaming up for the opening of Disneyland Hong Kong. They will fly two 744's of reporters to Hong Kong for the opening and do CX/Disney holidays.

So.... a Disney / CX scheme???

During D-checks aircraft are stripped to the bare metal both inside and out for a complete inspection. The entire enterior is removed including insulation etc.
This also a time when any major maintenance that is required is done.

From what I know, there is no plan for a disney scheme, which is pretty sad. I had previously dream of B-HKD carrying disney colors cos B-HKD can stands for (Hong Kong Disneyland) or Hong Kong Dollars  Smile Of course we knew that didnt happen.

We should be real glad if a sticker is even applied on the 744 promoting this event. haha

But of course there are rumours saying B-HKF may be painted in disney scheme. I don't know if it is true or not. Guess we gotta wait till she comes back from Xiamen then we will know if it is true or not  Silly

Of course it will be a pleasant news if it is true.

An additional note is that CX will be 60 years old in September 2006. Perhaps we can hope for some special schemes along those lines, although I have a feeling that whatever birthday scheme they do (if at all) will again be predominantly green!!
