Did I hear right on Sky News tonight that one of the people on the board of the parent company of Gate Gourmet (Tex something)also happens to be a director of Ryanair?

If this is right it would explain why no smart comments on the Ryanair website!
They normaly twist BA's misfortunes to the advantage of their advertising!

You heard right and that person is David Bonderman, Head of Texas Pacific and a director of Ryanair (Chairman, I believe). See My Reply (No 16) in the thread Possible BA Disruption This Weekend? (by PA110 Aug 23 2005 in Civil Aviation)

Perhaps as one of their directors is directly involved in the dispute, FR are treading this more carefully?

You can find a profile of David Bonderman here http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/about.php?page=Invest&sec=bio_board
