In a word, no.

I am a pilot for AWA, and we've been told that the reason this merger is happening (and the way it is being accomplished) is to keep costs low. That's why the paint job remains so similar - so that they don't have to go through the cost of redoing all the ticket counters, signs, stationary, etc. They are doing everything they can to reduce the cost of the merger. So no - there won't be new uniforms.

Not for at least a year is what I've heard. Eventually, yes, but only around the time the airlines start operating under the same certificate.

That's pretty much what I've heard. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything. Our current uniforms are a bit dated (US Airways)

I would hope that they get new uniforms, and unfortunately they didnt change the livery that much. My thought is that for public opinion to change so does the company's image, which unfortunately doesnt look like it will happen.

We defenetly need a better uniform for our mechanics. I hate our light blue shirtt, when I wear it I look like a car mechanic. Hope to see a white shirt wwith alot of pockets and the US flag on the side !!!!!!!

All american legacy carriers' uniforms are WELL dated. They are just awful.

US Airways funeral director look

Dark blue slacks, white aviator shirt, dark blue tie, dark blue blazer.

US Airways Ramp:
Dark blue slacks or shorts, blue and white pinstripe shirt
or
Dark blue slacks or shorts and a red knit shirt

Both shirts offered with a lovely reflective silver sewn on US Airways patch.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) no pics of US Airways
What about the HP uniform... any pics?

regards
Richard

Yes, however, Delta's new uniforms are F*cking fierce if you've seen them! I think with the new uniforms, Delta will be up there with the style of uniform that AZ and AF have, which are currently the nicest uniforms out there...

We just got new uniforms maybe about a year ago. I like them...they are more casual looking and not the McD's pinstripe anymore..lol. I imagine they will come out with new ones, but it's probably not a huge priority. We will all get new badges and name bars so I guess that will work for now.

I like our current ones.

Ramp - gray button up work shirt, red lettering on back and front, two chest pockets - pants or shorts are navy blue dickies-style work pants

Course I'm colorblind, correct me if I'm wrong!

Here is some kewl info on the uniforms!

Now that the new livery and colors have been rolled out, when will we be able to purchase clothing items from the company store?
A. The Company Store will have items featuring the look of the new US Airways within two weeks after the close date. If items are made available sooner we will let employees know.

HP Ramper,

"Rev J PHX" seriously, it's in every 733 bin (or so it seems), ultra-lame if you ask me. I just polished off the remainder of my 2005 clothing allowance. When did Lion start charging Tax & Shipping? I ran out of cash to order 1 pair of Cargo pants (had to stick with those crappy Gray LS T's). Do you handle Main-line & Mesa (PHX & LAS) only or is there a contract with OAL's @ PDX? Is AWA going to move-in with US or will it be the other way around? US will be making the move to Terminal 4 with AWA in the Fall, sometime.

Thank You Derek! Good Luck with the LA Dodgers

We handle mainline and Mesa here at PDX, I believe 7 mainline and 2 Mesa flights per day. Used to work CO but that ended a couple years back, soon we may be working AC props though. Just rumor. There is no US here at PDX so I'm not sure how we'll be affected. Maybe we will see PDX-PHL or PDX-CLT flights - could only hope so.

I've also seen one that says "Mad Dog PDX" but nobody seems to know who that could be. Speculation runs rampant because we aren't a huge crew up here.
