My colleague just came in and has heard that ATC is currently closed at LHR? Haven't seen anything posted and nothing on any news sites but does anyone here know any better?

One of our clients was on a LHR-bound flight this morning (sorry don't know which one) which was diverted elsewhere, pilot came on and said that the reason was no air traffic control available at Heathrow...

Seems it was repaired quite quickly. Most departures from MAN were delayed for a time, arrivals weren't affected, and we didn't get any London diversions.

I can hear all the LHR inbounds flying above my house at approx 3000 feet, there are however a fair few cancellations this afternoon, from BRU, GVA, ZRH, CDG...
A friend of mine who works for BA said that the ATC at Swanwick had gone down... she is an F/A and her flights had been cancelled this afternoon.
Also, just been informed that there is a BA 777 currently at FRA, and to my knowledge it is BA108 from Dubai. No reg as yet...
