Not much information on this I'm afaraid but just seen a breaking news article on the BBC Website : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/4179914.stm.

Apparently a computer fault is causing 'widespread delays'.

Oh great, just what we need.
Weather is also meant to be hell up north this afternoon. What else can go wrong this month.

1. Air crashes
2. Strikes
3. Weather
4. ATC

It's causing huge slots at AMS even for the flights not going to the UK.

Lamedianaranja,

The problems in and around AMS were caused by a similar (but unrelated) systems failure at the Maastricht ACC. Just very unlucky timing that they both occured at about the same time!

Regards

Eurocontrol had some problems too, I know. Earlier in the morning it was probably a combination of the two and after 11.00hrs the airtraffic pile-up.
