ATC Fault Delaying UK Flights

Not much information on this I'm afaraid but just seen a breaking news article on the BBC Website : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/4179914.stm.

Apparently a computer fault is causing 'widespread delays'.

Lamedianaranja,

The problems in and around AMS were caused by a similar (but unrelated) systems failure at the Maastricht ACC. Just very unlucky timing that they both occured at about the same time!

Eurocontrol had some problems too, I know. Earlier in the morning it was probably a combination of the two and after 11.00hrs the airtraffic pile-up.
