I'll see what I can do. I didn't have my camera with me, since I was in training at the plant. But there are several photographers up here. I thought this message might get their attention.

Like I always say, things can change, and guess what, they have. ZK-OKA will now be delivered on 30th September.

In other news. ZK-OKB will be delivered on October 7th. ZK-OKC will arrive in December, ZK-OKD is to be retained by Boeing for a while to test 787 flight control software, and will have its delivery delayed from January 06, until July. ZK-OKE is moved forward 1 month to April. ZK-OKF and OKG remain as planned, due in September and November of next year.

Hope the info helps

We're all like little kids, getting a cool new toy, or just like anyone opening anything cool.

It will be nice to see those birds in NZ Colours round NZ. Unfortunately not round Wellington except at the start.

Again us kiwis can always trust NZ1. Was NZ selected as the 'test dummy' for the B787 technology cause of NZs B787 order?

Cancel regional airports for that matter

No idea, I just hope so, Or I won't be seeing one for a long time probably, because I won't be in Auckland any time soon.

Well, at least hope for a fly-by around Auckland before it lands.. Not like the A320 did..

I'm pretty sure the A320 did a low level around Auckland city before it landed at AKL. Was very poorly publicised though.

Next time I head up to Everett on a sunny day, I'll try to get a shot of it at Paine Field. Keep in mind, the picture may not be the best, but at least you guys will get a glimpse. I'll most likely post it as a separate subject matter.

Just was wondering why the Economy seat pitch on the 777 is 32 inches. I thought Air NZ prided themselves on a 34 inch pitch? I know one answer is probably money, but is there anything else?

The 767s which the 777s will be replacing have 32 inch pitch. The 34 inch is only on the 747s, and will remain after the cabin upgrade.

RR's as B742 said...

How've you been?

Some see lines, others see between the lines.
25 USAF336TFS : Doing good! I'll shoot you an email. I agree with you though... Would have preferred their 777s with GEs. Makes sense since they've specified Trent 1
26 Zeekiel : Apart from the seat pitch, the cabins are the same. So it fits into a nice little package. We all love our types. As you said they may be looking for
27 Zkojh : im sure we can wait another 3 days, to see such a wonderful aircraft, come to such a good airline, probley won't get my experiance on it till, next ye
28 767ER : Yes I get to fly the 772 in late Nov SFO AKL...hooray!
29 Kohflot : So the 777 is replacing the 763? Does that mean the LAX 763 routes will be going to the 772 eventually?
30 SunriseValley : I too have wondered why the Rollers for this type. Certainly it would not have been based on the fuel burn! I suspect that there is some sort of power
31 Post contains images Boeing767-300 : Rolls Royce engines on 772 for ANZ. They have ordered the wrong engines before namely the first three 744s had RB211s and the remaining five had CF6s.
32 AirxLiban : The RR engine for the 744 is the RB211, not the Trent.
33 SunriseValley : I believe P&W have an interest in the IAE 2500, also I believe P&W and NZ are ( or were) partners in the Christchurch overhaul facility. Not sure if
34 VirginFlyer : Yes, the CHC facility is a joint venture between ANZES and P&W. I am pretty sure the intention behind the RR order was to ensure ANZES would be able
35 ZK-NBT : ZK-NBW was the last 744 NZ received, it and NBV were the last 2 which were new builds. ZK-SUH, SUI and SUJ were second hand, though SUJ hadn't flown
36 777ER : Yes ZK-OJA did, and it was on both TV3 and TV1 news that night NZs B787s will also have RR, I think the RR 1000 Yes and yes
37 Post contains images NZ1 : That might have had something to do with it, yes. Not definite yet. Time is still being thrashed out. Will let you know when I can. Our RR 744's (ZK-
38 The777Man : Thanks for the update on the 777 deliveries! ZK-OKH still on schedule for delivery before the end of 2006 ? I also heard somehting about registration
39 Zkojh : what do we need another 744 for??, surley we have plently of planes as it is, are we still going ahead and upgrading the 5x 763's that were keeping fo
40 Wedgetail737 : Line number 534 is the ILFC/ANZ 777-200ER and it's basking in the sun now on the Everett flightline.
41 NZ1 : Yes. Although they will not be receiving the new seats as on the 744 and 777's. Is looking more likely to be a refresh of the interior (paint etc) an
42 ZKSUJ : I hope they install IFE on the 763s. It would be needed I think as I presume that is the aircraft that will open new routes for us.
43 QFKangaroo747 : I have been wondering about this for a long time. Thanks for the info update NZ 1, I know to look out for the AKL landing photos after Sep 30th. You p
44 ZK-NBT : It could be possible definatly with a second daily to LHR pending. Not to many GE or RR 744's on the market though. How about when they finally start
45 NZ107 : Do you think that 18 Premium Economy seats are enough? According to the site, it's only an extra NZ$600 for a return flight to SFO! I believe that it
46 SunriseValley : I believe it was NZ1 who said that the premium economy class seat count can be changed if demand dictates that it should.
47 Zkojh : 'How about when they finally start the second daily LHR flight which will happen sometime? 2 dailies to LHR is 6 aircraft and then the second LAX serv
48 ZK-NBT : Yes if they operate a 772 AKL-HKG and then a 744 HKG-LHR, but i'd thought they would try and kill 2 birds with 1 stone and operate a 744 AKL-HKG-LHR
