Not sure if anyone has heard about this yet, but I have caught wind that Boeing is going to be doing a live chat about the 787 flight deck this Thursday @ 6pm Pacific. I have a feeling they might even show some images because Mike Carriker, the Chief pilot for the program is going to be chatting live about it. It’s gonna be on www.newairplane.com. Anybody else hear about this?
I could imagine that in the days when the 747 was designed, disco was very popular. I just don't see the market for a disco floor in this day and age. Does anybody know if thie A380 features anything like this?

If you sign up as a member of the Boeing World Design Team on www.newairplane.com you will get e-mails about the live chats. Registration for the WDT is free.
By the way, Tamsin, the design of the 747 predated disco by a few years. And I certainly hope the "disco" or club-style floor is indeed a joke. However, Boeing has stated that they will have some kind of unique entrance on the 787; perhaps they will add a full light-panel and mirror-ball setup too!
