There is plenty of information about the number of aeroplanes sold by each manufacturer. I haven't seen similar statistics about the gas turbines that power them. (Piston engines could be another topic)

I would suggest that the most successful gas turbine engine families in terms of numbers sold, would be:

1) PT6
2) CFM56
3) JT8D

Any hard stats out there?
