I am a CSA for Usairways Express here in TYS. Today, an American Airlines MD-80 came here with a full load of MSY refugees. We were all waiting with a fleet of buses, ambulances, doctors, volunteers, and food donors. We processed 130 people into local hospitals and ultimately shelters. It was nice to see a mainline AA here, as well as such a wonderful example of support for the victims of Katrina.
Hope to see similar stories on here..
The plane is going to do the same thing tomorrow, except that the plane is going to go to CHA.

Tonight We have 6 C-130H aircraft coming up from msy with hundreds of Katrina victims. They have clothes, food, Doctors/First aid, showers, and beds set up in one ( or both, not sure) of the C-130 Hangars at CRW.
