GE's engine web site, listed below, lists the GEnx engine as available on the Boeing 787, Boeing 747Advanced, and the Airbus 350. One can infer that GE has the inside scoop on the go ahead for the 747Advanced. Check it out and post your thoughts on it.

The engine selection was done a while ago--I think we are still waiting on Boeing and Cargolux to finalize the first order, therefore launch, for the 747ADV.

Not really. Boeing had already announced that GE had exclusivity on the 747ADV with a bleed-air version of the GEnx engine.
