Speaking in Hong Kong Air China's President Ma Xulun said that Air China has no plans for the A380 at this point. Though if demand warrants they may reconsider. In the meantime they'll focus fleet aquisition in the Mid size airplane categories:
``Over the next few years, we will focus on either planes with
about 250 seats or those with less than 200 seats,'' said the
Beijing-based airline's president Ma Xulun, at a press conference
today in Hong Kong. ``Right now we have no concrete plans to buy
the A380 but if there is demand, we may reconsider.''
The airline has also raised US$350 million and will use the proceeds toward previously announced orders for 20 A332 and 15 B787s
Thought I would post this as, to me, it doesn't entirely rule out an A380 aquisition once the airplane passes certification and EIS.
