Can anyone check if i get lucky and get a 757? I'll be happy with anything other than an A320. Not done an A321 yet so that would be cool. So would an A332 but i'm dreaming now...

I believe it's an A320 flight. The 757s op flights from MAN. And I don't think MYT have any 321s at LGW.

When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!

There are no MYT 757s based at LGW, they only have 2 left in the fleet and they're both MAN based.
I'm pretty sure it will be a 320/321, but I have no way to check I'm afraid.

Better not mention that you could have booked with First Choice for £201 on the same dates and got a 757 then!

Hey you think that's bad? I was booked on a holiday to PMI last year unbeknownst to me and the return leg was flown by none other than MYT DC-10, G-BYDA. Nightmare. The outbound leg was flown by B757 C/N 005.  banghead

Yes but its a DC10 -doesnt matter if shes minging inside on a 1hr 40 min flight does it? What matters is a full power non-derated DC10 takeoff with 100 passengers, no cargo, and very little fuel!!!

You can relive the moment I thought I was going to die of DVT right here. Indeed, I filmed the flight. http://www.tmfy.com/movies/myt_dc10.htm Big grin

Anyway, enjoy the flight.

The flights you're referring to, MYT497/498, are op'd by A320's.

Looking at movements, at present they have 2 x A320's based at LGW, G-KKAZ and G-FTDF (this one did MYT497/498 last Sunday!)

Have a nice flight,

Tango Foxtrot is a IAE2500 powered ex-Skyservice bird, and Alpha Zulu is the same but CFM56 powered.

The photo database shows them both MAN based. What are they like inside? In fairly poor nick ill bet after a busy summer!

Course im not Chris.

Was just saying that as they operate so many charter destinations, where chavs like to 'go on holiday'. No offence intended.

Ive seen you like your clubbing scene, have a great time

Apparently, according to some people on a.net, if you fly charter airlines then you are automatically a chav.  Yeah sure

Oi Oi! Don't get us all started again!   The interiors will be fine, afterall, they are cleaned after each flight!

Here is a Photograph of an interior of one of the MyTravel Lite A320s, which have the same interiors as mainstream MyTravel A320 aircraft, except slightly different headrests. The seats have been that style for a few years now.

I found out the other day that ex-MyTravel DC-10-30 G-BYDA only had 8 hours left in the airframe when she landed at Kemble for scrapping.

Don't worry, at least you've got your in-flight meal to look forward to (I hope so), something you wouldn't have got on First Choice

Oh, and where abouts in Ibiza are you going to be DJing? Playa D'en Bossa? San Antonio?

Make sure you allow yourself lots of time at Ibiza Airport on return, it's very busy!

Ah, good old G-JALC!

I may as well chuck in that Ex-MyTravel 757 G-MCEA (C/N 20) was scrapped in July at Lasham.

No Problem.

Ibiza Town! All-sorts come out at night there. It will be an experiance. (You probably know that already though). Sounds good, A few villa partys, very nice!

It's been decent weather there recently, a few chilly nights though (had to sit in some of the bars), but all in all, excellent weather! Excellent Place!
