Below the Atlant - Soyus letters, there is a phrase, three words to be exact. Can someone tell me what they say ? So far I've come out with "aviacompania private Moscow" but I'm sure I'm way out on my cyrillic alphabet. I'll appreciate the help.

Aviakompaniya Pravitelstva Moskvy. It means the "Airline of the Government of Moscow," i.e. city government and not the national government. So Pravitelstva actually means the opposite of private!

Yep, what RedChili said.
Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist

Thanks, Flanker, I love the Cyrillic alphabet but my knowledge of it is pretty dim and empirical.
Do they use that alphabet in Bulgaria too ? I recall seeing "Balkan" written in Cyrillic but I am not sure. And by the way, which airline is operating now in Bulgaria? Balkan went the bankrupt route didn't it?

Bulgaria Air (effectively Balkan's replacement for scheduled services) is due to start services here in Manchester imminently. The TU154Ms which used to operate many Balkan charters into the UK, passed to Hemus Air and are now operated on behalf of Balkan Holidays in an amazing colour scheme!
As a big fan of 154s (my favourite aircraft) I'd love to know what happened to Balkan's early model 154Bs. These were regular visitors to MAN in the '80s. If they were scrapped, where and when were they scrapped?
Give me Tupolevs and Ilyushins over Boeings and Airbuses any day!

they are most likely sitting somewhere in Bulgarias desereted airfields. As of right now there are only 4 major airports that handle International flights, if even. Burgas, Varna and Sofia as the main one. But then again i could be wrong, they could have been sold or scrapped somewehre else.
i loved the balkan TU154's.
