PIT seems to be going back to the small communities. ITH also is regaining service to PIT (related thread):

US Express New Service To PIT (by KITH Sep 8 2005 in Civil Aviation)

However, the article states, "While several routes are being added to Pittsburgh, a few are being discontinued. US Airways will have 206 daily flights to and from Pittsburgh, down from 209. What routes are being reduced/cut?

See US Airways November Schedule Comments.

I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.

State College officially uses 2 airport identifiers. The airfield is reffered to as UNV - University Park Airport. The passenger terminal is reffered to as SCE State College Airport. This is because Penn State University owns the land and operates the airport. However, they lease the land where the passenger terminal is located to the State College Airport Authority. All Navaids, charts, etc use UNV. The airlines in their reservations & baggage systems use SCE.

PIT-SCE is returning once a day after being dropped last November. Unfortunetly, the flight times to do cater to the local business community. A 12:30pm departure out of SCE, and a 2:30pm arrival back in State College does not help the majority of local business passengers and university-related travel that wants to go in the morning or late afternoon/evenings.

A funny sidenote ragarding SCE.

If you download the star alliance e-timetable and look for the city of State College you won't find it. It has a spelling mistake since ever I can remeber is referred as 'Sata College'.
