Service is set to start 2/9/06 1X daily (I'll guess on a 319 or M80).

Yet another market PVD folks can tap into via NK...NICE!

Any news regarding their intentions to fly FLL-SJO? (specially now that US is dropping that route)

Rumors were first heard fall of 2003.

It'd be great to have them flying to SJO though, FLL is way better than MIA. Also, Costa Rican start-up Aeropostal Alas de Centroamérica is apparently beginning flights there with a DC-9-15 soon, I guess low-fare vs low-fare would bring LOW fares to the market then.

NK is building quite a hublike operation out of FLL. The amazing thing is that Spirit is still sixth or seventh in daily departures from the airport!

Haven't heard anything on SJO.... I'm guessing they are sticking with the islands for right now. Probably next announcement will involve a domestic market for feed.

I have no association with Spirit Airlines

Interesting that Orlando, DFW, Atlanta and Tampa have all been announced for int'l feed in recent weeks. Is US Airways likely to get smoked out of the market totally? It appears so at this rate.
