We all know that Allegiant mainly flies people from smaller to mid sized markets to the vacation destinations of LAS and SFB. I was curious if anyone knows, how many originating passengers from LAS or SFB use the flights in reverse to fly to those markets. For instance, there are a number of retirees in the LAS and SFB area from the midwest, would any of those people use Allegiant to fly back to their home of Peoria, for example? I know people who live in LAS who fly back to CID using Allegiant, and also another family from Cedar Rapids who got transfered down to the Orlando area whose daughter attends college back here in Iowa are thrilled that they now have a non stop flight back home. Just curious to see if there are any percentage numbers of people who use these flights "in reverse" so to speak...thanks in advance!

Well I'm not exactly sure but I thought a while back someone said it was 2 or 3% originating from SFB and LAS, my step dad is working out there and doing LAS-CID-LAS flights every couple months, it's really nice the way that works as almost everyone is heading to LAS for the weekend and he is flying to CID for the weekend. Maybe ATCRick or another Allegiant poster could tell you for sure as I would be interested in the exact numbers also...

Good evening all G4 fans. I dont have access to those numbers but I am hoping with the growing destinations( i.e.RAP, Black Hills, Sturgis, Deadwood), we will attract more LAS and SFB residents. Of course I am sure NW entering our markets is a concern, but I think that challenging G4 will give them one more thing to worry about that they shouldn't focus on right now. One thing you can count on. G4 dong their best to serve the customer.

Good evening ATCRick!
LAS-Midamerica almost would seem to me like one of the big "other way" routes, cuz nobody else offers that kind of uptown STL service.

Ahhh yes. And good evening to you. We'll see what prevails. But do not forget one important thing. Your opinions are heard and looked into. And appreciated by people alot higher on the food chain then me. Keep in touch.

Very true, and I could also see the new SFB-Stewart, NY route also could be like that.
I was thinking, could Allegiant make LAS-LNK (Lincoln, Nebraska) work? It may be to close to OMA and they have WN to LAS, but so does STL and BLV seems to be going well. LNK is another smaller-medium sized city that would seem to fit in Allegiant's business model. LNK currently has no LCC service, there current service is NW to MSP, DTW, MEM (all CRJ's) and UA to ORD and DEN (CRJ's).

Iowaman,
good evening. As usual you are joining into an intelligent conversation. A nice change from what I read in this forum normally. I wish I could give you better info. LAS-BLV seems to be doing well. It's a new plan (I would imagine with the new NW competition) but our people know what they are doing. I look forward to the future and I am confident we can fend off any challenges. Time will tell sir.

That plug is defintely worth a walk across the office. Although, you have proven your worth a long time ago. Thanx for the pic
My pleasure, good chance a copy of it will be hanging in the new terminal at IFP. I spend just about every day there in the winter and got friendly with one of the exec directors of the airport. She expressed some interest in my work and believe me they need some good pics there! Will keep you posted.

I knew some people from work and in my neighborhood that had relatives from LAS area that used G4's nonstop service to ICT. They mentioned how convenient and inexpensive G4 was to get to their destinations.

I would but I am not in Laughlin yet!
I arrive right before New Years and leave mid March. Please check on that new terminal and give me an update! Also email FlagshipAZ and let him know you are coming. Tom will definitely be into spotting and if you have some spare time I suggest a drive to IGM. It's only 20-30 mins away.

Hello everyone:
Any in the know as to how SGF is doing. I fly from SGF to ORD a lot and see the LAS pax checking in, etc. Seems to be a good crowd.
I'm giving it a try at the end of the month. Looking forward to flying to LAS without having to go through DEN.

FATFlyer and ATCRick,
Good day to you all. I keep hearing rumblings that G4 will be entering into the Ohio market soon. I can think of 4 airports they would be thinking entering. I was just wondering what your thoughts on these airports are.
YNG - I heard through an informant they were heavily weighing this airport and an announcement was very likely. I could see doing both LAS and SFB a couple times weekly here because IMO it fits G4's profile.
LCK - I would think this is another airport that fits their profile like a BLV only serving the Columbus/Southern Ohio market.
TOL - While TMA already flies SFB, G4 could really give them a run for their money and IMO would be better for TOL then TMA. I think they both could cohabit in the market with TMA having connecting to the Carribbean. LAS would make money because when TMA flew it, the 757s were always full.
DAY - While FL hasn't tapped the LAS market yet G4 could get a leg up on the competition and run the route prolly fairly successful.

WN might offer cheap service between CMH and LAS, but heh, look at OKC.

TOL would work.

FL seems like just the carrier that would announce this route if G4 did...
But first let's hit up the Midwestern cities and get back at NW for ruining our fun. I can think of a pair of MN cities that would service it quite well...
