Good thing there was no injuries. I think it's really the time Thai government should suspends their license..

Phuket Air (9R) suspended all of their European routes a long time ago. Now they have only domestic service in couple of cities in Thailand. I believe they wet leased their 747s to middle eastern countries.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if all the charges against them had blown over or not. I hadn't heard their name in a while. Who is flying their 742s now?

One of their 747's is at LGW. It's been parked there since April

According to a recent article in the Bangkok Post, Phuket Air will suspend all its scheduled flights and focus on dry/wetleasing contracts.

I was under the impression that they had suspended operations. My friend flies a 757 for a diferent Thai company, and he has told me some stories about Phuket air, f***** scary.

Whatever. Perhaps I know the person - gives always the preferred greetin g in S.E. Asia - "Hi Folks welcome aborad..." NOT.

Phuket Air is fine apart from the 747 mech problems that have been blown out of the proportion.

The department would revoke the airline's licence if a safety problem emerged, Mr Chaisak said.

The airline suspended all Bangkok-Mae Sot flights yesterday. Passengers who were to fly today should call the airline to check on departure times.

Whatever. I would have paid B 10,000 to fly on their BKK-BFV service on the YS-11. But it's too late now since the sole operational YS11 is gone in Mae Sot.

I know they are on the famous "black list" in Europe, but I don't know which countries this affects exactly!

They should be on none. Nothing wrong with 9R. These lists are junk...
