The smallest at Mexico City are Aeromar's ATR 42's. I mean that's really stupid!! Such city and you would expect to see all types of planes. It's sad!! But true!! Well I would like to hear from you what is the smallest commercial airplane arriving at your airport!

Here at SEA, the smallest i beleive is the Cessna Caravan operated by Harbor Airlines. I think it is kinda cool to see the huge contrast between planes such as the Cessna Caravan and the 777 all using the same airport.

At Boston's Logan (BOS) the smallest planes I've seen are Cape Air's 8-passenger Cessna 402s, with regular service to Provincetown, Hyannis, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. They pull up to the commuter gates at Terminal A, whose regular gates service the Delta shuttle among others. Quite a sight in comparison to a larger jet.

The smallest plane here at COS are Mesa's B1900s. They serve DEN and ABQ. When spotting they're very hard to miss on the ramp since they park right next to gate 2 between the main terminal and the old WestPac concourse.

What is a commercial airplane?
A plane that you have to "pay" to go up in?
Seriously, I could say an Eagle 150. Its about 5 metres long. It still classifies as a commercial airplane so to speak.
Seriously, you could say any plane. What is commercial.
If you said smallest airline plane, then I could still say a small plane.
The smallest commercial aircraft would be the smallest plane at your airport. Which effectively can be any, just because its not a stand up airline. Doesnt mean its not commercial.

In mid 1980's when deregulation forced Western Airlines to stop flying thier 737-247 on flight between Sioux Falls, SD - Pierre, SD so Mesaba Airlines (now Northwest Airlink) took over the flight with BEECH 99. It was a big adjustment for me from 737 to Beech 99...
