The 777 looks great in this scheme! Does Austrian plan on leasing more from Lauda ?

Looks nice, although I prefer the Lauda sceme!

Nope, Lauda is in the Austrian Airlines group, so the aircraft are merging into the OS brand!

All of the Lauda a/c will receive OS paint!  Sad

Rob!

All ex-NG 777s will get OS interior and exterior. 2 of the 767s will stay with NG and will be used on charter flights, the others will also become (or are already) completely "Austrian".

IMO the 777 doesn`t look bad in OS colors, but the Lauda scheme was WAY better.

The 777 looks really good in the Austrian scheme. As a matter of fact, the 777 looks good in most schemes.

BTW not all NG planes will become OS. All 737s will stay NG (OE-LNS was just delivered recently in NG colors) and some A32S will become NG (AFAIK OE-LBR, OE-LBQ, OE-LBE); reason for this is that NG is now the charter brand of the OS group and OS had used their planes on charters until now.

An interesting side note, there still will be NG scheduled flights, as an example VIE-DXB is operated by 738 OE-LNJ, it is the only OS/NG 737 with C class. It is supposed to stay in NG colors.

With the change in the external livery and from what I understand interiors as well, are the services to Australia, totally switched to Austrian's standards, ie in terms of flight attendant uniforms and inflight service items, or is it still the Lauda standard?

From what I heard all will be in Austrian's standard.

The T7 also has a small sticker applied making promotion for the Mozart year 2006. The sticker is "very big" .

what an UGLY visual corporate identity Austrian has chosen.

Bring back the widebodies in the Lauda colors! leave that medicine pill look for the A320s and 737s charter division.

I like it, it's very different yet not flashy.

So differen't that almost every other boring new scheme out there has the bottom of the plane blue as well. Yes, definitely not flashy with those baby blue engines. Had the 777s being painted in Austrians old livery it wouldn't have bothered me as much.. but this new c/s look ugly on the 777, a big difference from the elegant Lauda ones.

It also bothers me since I don't have any old c/s Austrian or Lauda shots, and this new stupid looking Austrian scheme I absolutely don't care about shooting it really.

Thanks for the pictures and info!

I also miss the great colors of Lauda Air on the 777. Austrian's current colors aren't that great in my opinion.

The new OS colors look quite good on a small plane, but as soon as it's larger than a Fokker 100 - no thanks.

Btw, what's the new name of the plane? It's hard to tell even on the large version of the pic.

Regards
Udo

I dunno about the OS scheme on the 777...its decent I suppose but I prefer the Lauda colours.

Oh well..I suppose I'm not important enough for OS to consult on such an issue...
