Nice pictures and a beautiful aircraft! Don't know if I am so enamored with the tail art though, a little tacky in my opinion. I'd prefer if they just kept a standard tail throughout the whole fleet. Thanks anyway!

Now that the LCC business is blooming in Mexico, I believe carriers should take a close look at both the 170 and 190. There is a niche in the 70-100 pax markets yet to be exploited... a gold mine if you ask me !

Valujet started small and Delta didn't really worry about it, and now look... So what will happen if Embraer Customers really like the performance of the 70-100 seaters and ask Embraer for bigger planes. It is certainly possible for Embraer to trump Boeing/Airbus if they don't be careful. And don't say it will never happen, because we all know how Embraer started to enter the market.. Little 30 seat Turboprops (EMB-120), and now they are offering 100 seat jets.. next will be a high-efficiency version of a 737 that gets 50% better fuel burn, and it 60% quieter than the 737 or A320.

I agree with you 100%. Embraer might be positioned to grow in the future. Oh, Embraer is being smart to make it public how their next two jets will be business jets (plus, I speculate, a E70 based Legacy). I expect around 2015 we'll be celebrating the new E2XX (or will it be E8XX?) that will take on the 737/320. Embraer has been learning how to make cost effective airframes pressed into high utilization.

We would already have the competition if bombardier had stepped up with the C-series.

Back on topic, the E-jets are gorgeous! I'm just sad that B6 will take a while to bring them to the west coast. Yes, from a business perspective I applaud the east coast focus.  bigthumbsup  But that doesn't give me many chances to ride them.  hissyfit

Nice looking plane. A shame that they chose the diamonds tail to go on it - I think it's the worst looking one they have - but it still looks great. Can't wait to fly on one.

This is a great looking aircraft and I bet the 190 will fit a niche market for B6 and many other airlines to come.

Are the specifications of this ac similar to that of the 736 & 318? Any ideas who else might by this ac?

Not only that, but if and when Embraer decided to go into the large airframe market, which is inevitable, airlines may be impressed with a family of aircraft from 70-200 seats, and they will like the idea of only one manufacturer supplying all of their needs to eliminate many maintenance costs, and increase commonality.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now. Embraer has produced a very logical and careful progression of increasingly larger and more capable aircraft. I have no doubt they can come up with a worthy competitor to the A320 and 737 families. They are almost there with the E190/195.

Congratulations to Embraer and JetBlue on this milestone. Smart looking plane, like all the Embraer jets.

No, it's not. E-170 is almost as big as Boeing 737-500 - I was really surprised to see how large this plane really is when I saw them on the ground parked next to each other at WAW...
