Where did Delta Express' 737-200 fleet come from. Were they acquired in the Western merger or were they were bought expressly (no punn intended) for the purpose? Anyone who knows, thanks.

All of Delta's Express fleet was bought new from Boeing and put into the mainline fleet, all except 5, which were from Western. They are all late model 737-200ADVs ranging from 1984-1987, except for the Western machines.
