I hope this is the right place to post.
I see Delta's stock at closing today is $0.75 a share.
Now this might sound silly, but would it be a stupid move to buy shares?
I know they are in chapter 11 and all, and I know it's a risk. But the low price looks too good to pass up.
Any Stock Brokers out there with an insight? Could I but say 1,000 shares? what fees would I be looking at to buy and what fees to sell?
I am plain brainless when it comes to Stocks other then checking the current prices.

Usually when a bankrupt company emerges they will wipe out the value of the old stock and issue new stock to raise money.

Don't waste your money buying shares. Buy Delta bonds. If Delta comes out of bankruptcy, which is likely, people who buy Delta bonds now stand to benefit. I wish I bought some K-Mart bonds when they went into BK...people who did made out like bandits.
