Any dibs on how long it will be before NW and DL emerge? I predict 18 months for NW and 24 months for DL (if at all.)  Smile

Now hopefully the new larger "US Airways" once merged will become a viable commerical entity and will never have to explore Ch11 again! Good luck US Airways and America West employees!

This is great news. My best to US and its employees. Let's hope UA is next.

This is great! Now they can go for another bankruptcy in a couple months and waste more government money!

What is the world record for Business Bankruptcies?

Thanks to the employees who gave away the store...US Airways lives on and the skeptics never thought US Airways would survive!
Thanks to all the private investors, Bruce Lakefield and Doug Parker for your confidence and VISION.

How many more times will this company rise from the ashes? Simply amazing!  Yeah sure

US has emerged twice now from Ch. 11 protection, just like Continental and TWA.

I would predict 12 months for NW and second your 24 months for DL (if at all). Its all going to be about cashflow for the near term for both of these airlines.

I have to admit that for a while I was one of the skeptics. Well done by the US employees. Hopefully the merger goes well.

Congrats to US on this. Here's to US never coming back to CH11. Now let's get some non-Eastern presence for a change!

Ok, so now that HP/US are one, or will be. When will the HP a/c start getting repainted in the new US colors?

I would imagine they will start taking the worn out a/c and get them in a paint booth in short order.
