On this photo I took 5 years ago, I have it labeled as Mitch Lee Employee. I don't see any titles on this, and no other photo in the DB has that labeled (and I can't remember if I put that info in, or maybe someone else added it?) Mitch Lee emailed me a few weeks back telling me the story behind it, but asked where I got the info from since it doesn't seem to have titles. He wasn't sure which a/c it was because he never saw it in person. Can anyone confirm if this a/c is named "Mitch Lee Employee", and were can I find more info on this? Thanks.

J

I rode on N174UA on July 3rd, 2004...IAD-FRA. I took a picture of those nose section at gate C1, and there was no "Mitch Lee, Employee" painted on it.

Hope that helps!

Flown on that particular one 3 times. No titles.

Does anybody know then which a/c this name was painted on since possibly 174 doesn't seem to be it?

Quoting Dazed767 (Thread starter):

So what is that story? I remember about that time the Mx guys were painting retirees names on planes since the company stopped whatever going away perks they had previously gotten. Is that what it would be about?

It was part of an achievement award in 1994. Hopefully a hardcore UAL person will know.  crossfingers
