In addition to the previously announced additional service to many international points, such as Kingston, Sanitago de Chile, Rio de Janeiro, and others, American Airlines is expanding domestic service, and some international service, from Miami once again this winter. This winter, so far, American Airlines and American Eagle will offer 262 daily flights from Miami International Airport to 101 destinations (99 non-stops plus Asuncion via Sao Paulo and Santa Cruz as a triangle via La Paz, but non-stop on the return).

St. Louis doesnt need a completely new topic, and since its AA I'll just post it here:
Obviously, the Florida destinations are seasonal (as far as I can tell), but its good to see them adding mainline flights in any circumstance. No PBI, which is what I was told would be starting this winter. Too bad.

Some more...
...San Juan-Santo Domingo gets the daily A300 back
...Miami-Managua gets the daily A300 back
...Miami-Bogota gets the daily 763 back
...JFK-Caracas cut to 2x weekly
...Boston-Montreal discontinued, again
...Boston-Santo Domingo gets the Saturday 777 back
...O'Hare-Baton Rouge, new permanent service
...JFK-La Romana not operating this winter
AA doesn't usually put all schedule updates into one big lump like other airlines, so we'll see additions throughout the month.

Like you said, it is always good news to see added mainline flights even if they are seasonal. About the PBI, it is still possible. They probably are still finalizing their winter schedule.
Was this flight announced earlier this year? There is a new flight from both DSM and CID to STL on Eagle that starts Nov. 1st.. would you happen to know if that is in addition to the Nov. 1st flight?

This was probably it right here. There are too many new routes, upgraded frequencies, a/c changes for this one not be it. In the past I think they have even finished the winter schedules in the last August timetables.
On a good note, STL-VPS will stick around 2x weekly and remains VPS' only midwest connection. Hopefully, with the cutting of CVG-VPS the STL route will get stronger and good enough to resume daily.
Iowaman,
DSM moves to 5 daily, I thought it was previously 4 daily.

RIC secound frequency is still in the schedule also, though it only operates on Sun., Mon., Wed., Thurs.. Also, IND is still there as well.

Hardly additions. Bye bye Baltimore and the summer add ons for San Francisco and Seattle.

Doubtful. Since Ft. Walton Beach now has connections through Atlanta which outnumber connecting possibilities in STL by a good million percent.

Why is it that no US carrier seems to be able to make anything out of BOS-YUL? AA has now dropped twice, DL has also dropped it twice at least. And to think that that route used to see multiple daily L-1011s.

Strange, huh? I agree, I remember when DL had four 1011s per day on this route back in the 1980s (when I was at school in Boston).........maybe something for Song?
Back to MIA.......
Any update on transatlantic services for the winter schedule? Only one flight per day to LHR (didnt AA fly a second frequency on the MIA-LHR route a couple days per week in recent years?); is MAN returning (I did not see in on the list above); no news about the FRA flight returning or the long rumored MIA-BRU flight?
I think MIA-MAN is due to return after the first of the year, for a three month run (1 Jan-31 Mar). Hopefully it will make a better showing than last year.

MAN is returning, albeit apparently at a reduced frequency -- 5x per week instead of last season's daily service. It won't operate Mon/Wed eastbound or Tue/Thu westbound. It's still around, though!

Thanks for the info.....I didnt realize that the flight was going to 5 times per week instead of daily, and I also didnt realize that its operating a very short winter season, ie, not re-starting until after the new year. regards.

Quoting SABE (Reply 23): So CLO is getting downgraded from a 757 to a 737-800? Wow!
Though CLO is supposed to be getting 4 extra weekly flights, like it did this summer. Hasn't been uploaded yet. MDE gets 3 extra flights. Will operate mid-December through early Feburary, and then again from June through the end of August (as they did this summer).

40 MFEFlyer: By any chance, will AA serve MIA-MFE sooner or later on the domestic route?
41 Commavia: I'd say the chance of that is 0%. There is no market for MIA-MFE.
42 Gkirk: When will they ever start to sell seats on NCL-JFK
43 Commavia: Probably pretty soon now that they have gotten broad U.S.-U.K. approval. It will most likely be loaded for sale soon for a launch next spring.

47 MAH4546: A fourth frequency with a 738 is very possible in the near future. However, AA is highly utlizing their domestic fleet, so they can't add frequencies
48 FLY2LIM: They were flying two AB6s for a long time. When did they switch to 757 and is it flight 917/918 or 2111/2110? What about the on/off MIA-SJC?
49 Commavia: Given AA's tepid (at best) relationship with the SJC market, I'd say that MIA-PHX/SAN/SEA have a much higher likelihood of appearing (or reappearing)
