If my memory serves me correctly Jetmagic was around for a relatively short span of time, something like 2 years. My understanding of their demise is that their CASM was huge due to the fact that they were trying to provide a premium service to their customers while using an LCC model (using alternate airports, etc.) to try to keep other costs low. I have to admit that my complete understanding of this situation is limited, but I hope I've helped in some way until someone a little closer to the subject has the chance to respond.

They would still be around today if they had made it clear what kind of service they were offering. Low cost flights to Spain in an ERJ charging low cost fares, not much profit been made there!!
They had a fantasic idea but sadly it failied. If they restarted now with the same idea but slightly higher fares I would think they would do well.

I have the DVD from World Air Routes.

Have to say their cabin service looked top draw.

I read in Airliner World that the idea was dreamed up by 2 Irish students at Uni.

Quoting Shamrock350 (Reply 5):

I think there are 54 Seats in the ERJ-145. Is that what is meant to be fitted in an ERJ-145, or can more be fitted?

I think that the layout of their cabin looks as though there are less seats than the aircraft was built for. (e.g. Quality of seat, Legroom etc.)

Thanks
Mike

There have been roumers a while of jetmagic restarting under a different name. I dont think it will happen.

Jetmagic didnt serve DUB so i guess they had a different market.
