Just wondering how does the recent bankruptcies of NW and DL effect airports like MHT,PVD and BDL? Does AA or CO increase their presence,or in MHT will AA enter the market?Will Airtran or Jetblue introduce service to these airports? I have read that DL ends mainline jet service starting in Dec to MHT! I think it is a tactical error as the loads have been pretty good. Yes I realize loads don't mean profit due to yields.

BDL has a lot with Delta. They have 767 service to ATL and CVG for instance, plus song to LAX. I have a feeling that it is a strong market for them so they will stick with it. PVD, MHT, and PWM are smaller markets, but I would expect some expansion at PVD with AA. I think they fly to DFW from PVD.

Actually the BDL 767 flights will soon be a thing of the past, 1 final 767-200 flight goes to an MD88 pretty soon. But BDL-SLC was just announced. Yep AA serves DFW from PVD, 1 daily, and a 2nd was rumored recently.
Not yet announced, but in the schedules. Leaves BDL at 7:10am starting 12/1/05 on a 738...
I don't see AA doing much more than adding a second DFW in PVD - but that should have happened regardless of what DL/NW does. DL was relatively kind to PVD in the changes they made for December - we'll see what NW does...
DL is and will remain strong in BDL and AA has a good offering there already too.
