Only three european ailines have orderded th B777: BA,Air France and Lauda air (68 orders and 45 deliveries in total).
I heard that KLM and Alitalia will order B777 this year. Wich european airline could also order the Boeing ac?
Thanks.

What about Air Europe of Italy?? Also, not sure if Russia would be considered European, but theres also Aeroflot if so.

Maybe LOT could be a future customer for 777´s. I heard they are doing pretty well at the moment.

Poland is in Europe but not yet in EU.
Anyway, since Lot joined the Qualiflyer Group and Sair , I thing they 'll buy Airbus aircraft.they will probably also change their B737 for A32x.
But we'll see.

The topic clearly states the EU, but in the post itself Europe as a whole seems to be mentioned. Possibly the poster meant all of Europe when he said EU? Anyways, whatever it is, there aren't many 777 operators in Europe. Oddly enough, there are the same amount in Europe as in the United States. Obviously Asia takes the crown for the most operators.

I spoke with a LOT 767 captain a few months ago, and he told me that 99.9% for sure that they are getting the A330.......LOT had originally planned to sell two of the oldest 767's in exchange for one new 777, that was supposed to have happened last September, since they LOT decided to join Qualiflier, and allow Swissair to buy 35% of it's stock, so now they are going to be an Airbus customer.....which incodently may earn them some extra points when Poland applies for EU status.... ya see it all ties in

I don't think Swissair ownership has much to do with it. Swissair owns like 20% of SAA and they just picked Boeing to replace their planes. I sure hope LOT doesn't buy A330s just to curry favor the EU.
