Has anyone known a airline pilot that was in an aircraft accident at some point before getting hired? Just a question, and no I didn't crash an aircraft.

I have a friend who was the A/C in a B-52 when it crashed during a Red Flag exercise. He's been with NWA for a number of years now.

My understanding is that on job applications for pilots, there is a section (at least with Alaska) where you have to document your incidents and indicate what happened. They may or may not have an effect on your hiring, but I would assume that if you clipped the tail of another aircraft more than once under the same circumstances or have a record of incidences, then that would put a damper on your hiring. The section on the job application looks similar to the employment history section, though!
