Paramount Airways ready to take wing
The first Embraer jet plane for Paramount Airways has arrived, with the new Indian commercial airline aiming to link cities like Coimbatore and Pune with metros at cheaper rates.

The plane is of Brazilian make and flew in Monday. From Chennai it will move to Madurai airport from where Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will launch Paramount's first flight to Coimbatore. The Coimbatore-Delhi flight will take off on Saturday morning.

The airline, floated by a major textile company based in Coimbatore, is looking to connecting tier two cities like Coimbatore, Cochin, Pune and Nagpur. Paramount Managing Director M Thiagarajan told reporters: "Linking tier two cities with metros will help reduce travel time and expenditure greatly".

so the maiden flight of EMB in civil aviation in India, although few of them have just joined IAF and BSF.

If the future of the airline matches the beauty of its livery, Paramount would soon become another successful Indian airline. Wish them all the best.
