WN To Suspend Service At HOU On Friday

According to southwest.com all operations will be suspended at HOU after noon on Friday. Corpus Christi will also be effected.

I believe that CO will also be doing the same thing. A press announcement will be made after 2PM on Thursday.

I found it weird that CO didn't have anything about IAH on it's website. I'm glad they are going to be proactive.

I wonder how this will affect CO systemwide? I assume that all of their ops and dispatch staff work in Houston and might have to be evacuated.

Are WN and CO going to evacuate their aircraft and their employees before Rita hits? That's a lot of airplanes and people!

Continental has cancelled all flights in and out of IAH now.
