A former DL L-1011 is being refurbished at Victorville for a new airline that plans to fly JFK-West Africa. Past rumors of L1011s across the atlantic have failed to materialize (Air Scotland) Let's hope this new airlines' plans come to fruition. The L1011 is a beautiful aircraft, good luck to this new airline!

Interesting. Isn't this the outfit that owns two 747SPs stored at Marana, and also N723DA is a series -1, I didn't think they had transatlantic range.

True - 723 in its Delta configuration doesn't have the needed range since it is a -100. The aircraft will require some modifications to increase its range.
