I've noticed some airports/countries are more relaxed than others when handling international arrivals and departures - or, more to the point, what procedures transit passengers have to follow (international to international flight). As far as I can tell, the following is true - please correct me if not:

- UK: Segregated with passport, ticket, and security check
- US: Segregated with passport, ticket, and security check
- Chile: Segregated with ticket and security check only
- UAE: Segregated with security check only
- Thailand: Segregated but departures is accessible with no checks
- Singapore: Not segregated
- Ireland: Not segregated (but perhaps I only used the European arrivals rather than International?)
- Malaysia: Segregated I think, but don't know to what degree
- Turkey: Segregated but don't know how much

Note: where passport check is carried out, certain nationalities may have to provide (transit) visas.
Security check - X-ray etc
