There are a number of them out there but I ran across one I really like. This is not an advertisement, I am just a consumer happy with a product. ITASOFTWARE.COM has a fare finder system that far surpasses others I have used. They give you the best fare available and have a lot of options that make your search easy and fruitful. The drawbacks are it is only in its testing faze so you might run into some bugs, it is for usa and canada only right now and can only be used for coachclass.

That site is one that I had found before & since forgotten name of...so thanks to someone else recently for reminding me of it...so I tried it again and it gave me MORE detailed info than the actual airline site!
Like the fare codes for each segment so I could understand why pricing varied by $5 using mainline or express flights. No other site gave me this info!
And the graphical version of time lines has a couple of bugs, it seems, but gives you a very good idea of how various flight times compare.
