So lets have a good ol' think .. and lets imagine some of those old greats like Pan Am, Ansett, Eastern, Canadian were still around..where would they be now...
NOW.. before jumping to conclusions, lets set a neutral backdrop... lets say all airlines were financially secure and independent... What would they be ordering ?? 787's ?? A350's perhaps ?? would PanAm be buying 777's ??
Think about GO and maybe Debonair too ... or Ozark, some of the smaller airlines ?? would GO be flying 737's still ?? Would Ansett be chalenging Qantas to Europe with 777's ??
Also throw any other suggestions into the pot too, I know Ive missed out several other airlines who have gone out of business or have been merged into another.. Personally I would have loved to have seen a 777 in PanAm colors !!
WHERE WOULD THEY BE NOW ?!?!?!?!!
The floor is yours fine sirs....

I wouldn't mind seeing TWA still in the air. Maybe the 717 line would be going on for a long time, or same might be said with the 757 both 200 and the 300.

would be awesome to see Eastern with about 150-200 717's that they replaced their DC-9's with....could see them being the launch customer for the 787 too with the stencil on the tail like their 757's....they would still be #1 to South America and the Caribbean thru their MIA gateway and ATL, LGA, JFK, and BOS would still be huge stations....a merger with TWA would have taken place a few years ago opening up the west from STL as well as more flights to Europe....and yes the fleet would still be silver....hehe....fun post...

Would TW stick with 767's ? I guess they would until they were older and then they may have been faced with a 787/A350 decision...
but Im guessing 787 would top there list..
