Hello,

I took a short trip around the terminals at LGW today and when the monorail approached I had to look twice. Painted in solid BA blue with 'ba.com' plastered on the front and the slogan 'Have you clicked yet?' it looks incredibly ugly and an awful attempt to make the dated carriages appear more up to date. One train was complete whilst the other had odd panels of white still showing through and the Benyhone Tarton artwork still at one end, no titles whatsoever on the actual train. Goodbye more Utopia Sad!

Ahh well, at least its a tiny new lease of life for this fun ride between the two terminals. It will be a shame to see it go in a couple of years, it is, IMO a much better option to taking busses.

Perhaps BA continued sponsership with the growing presence of EZY at LGW. I mean look at the way EZY sneakily got the contract for the welcome arch at South, perhaps it was feared that EZY may claim this important link?

Cheers,

Gatwick should build a new, bigger BRIDGE that links the terminals (like the North Terminal Pier one)... It could have a café, seating area and balcony overlooking the apron... and be called "SkyView 2"!

One can dream...  hyper

Anyhow, sam in another thread somewhere you said about a viewing area in the south terminal... Where is it? Has the original skyview reopened?

Quoting Vasu (Reply 1):

Indeed we all can, though you would have to have a monorail running inside! They built huge concrete walls some time ago to cut the view from the monorail for 50% of the journey, the plants growing up them just don't do it for me Wink. The viewing area is in SOUTH Departures, follow the signs biggrin . No, the original skydeck hasn't and most probably won't reopen, Gatwick Village expansion takes priority for BAA,
