The flights are bookable through certain travel agencies only, not quite a charter flight, but half way between charter/schedueld. Slovak Airlines also served at one time, with a few different aircraft including the 767 "Midland Airways" that ended up getting impounded at BHX. Also, Flyjet at one time operated services to India for a particular travel agency.
You can also fly to ATQ direct with Air India, or with Uzbekistan via Tashkent or Turkmentistan via Ashkabat. Turkmenistan/Uzbekistan are the original airlines to serve the Indian sub-continent from BHX, before the Slovakian services/Flyjet services, and way before Air India.
This United European Airways seems like another "Virtual" airline. They'll charter an aircraft from an airline, and sell tickets under that brand.
