Cape Town is becoming very popular, yesterday morning when I left there were aircraft from Malaysia, Singapore and Garuda parked there, our summer is coming so the flights are increasing, the airport is getting a bit small though!
After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

Quoting EK156 (Reply 4): I heard EK was supposed to fly there but they lost their rights to another airline... anyone knows which one?
The current bilateral agreement between South Africa and the UAE, allows EK 14x weekly flights. All 14x flights are currently in use to JNB. This may change in the near future.
Quoting ZSOFN (Reply 3): How many daily LHR flights are there now between SA, BA and VS?
JNB-LHR-JNB (2 daily flights operated by both SA and BA, with B744's) = 28 flights
JNB-LHR-JNB (7 flights a week operated by VS A343's. During peak periods, equipment are changed to B744's and A346's.)
That amounts to 35 direct, non-stop weekly flights between JNB and LHR.
CPT-LHR-CPT (2 flights operated on a daily basis by both SA and BA, with B744's) That amonuts to 14 direct, non-stop flights .
During peak times (e.g. South African summer holidays), VS operates some direct, non-stop flights between CPT and LHR. However it is seasonal.
